Happy Monday! It’s our last week of summer and what better way to spend it than by playing in a sensory bin?!
This one was themed after one of our all time favorite books Chica Chica Boom Boom, and although little man still struggles to keep everything within the bin, he loves to play in it just the same!
To make this sensory bin, all you need is some alphabet magnets, pom poems, pipe cleaners to make the palm tree, and the medium of your choice (we chose dried black beans).
You’re gonna need a container for your sensory bin, one with a lid is prime for storing during non-play time!
To make the palm tree I simply folded three green pipe cleaners in half and then wrapped the ends of my tan pipe cleaner around the center of my green ones.
Throw in some fun beach toys and you have a sensory bin all about the letters running up the coconut tree!
Black beans for sensory bin sounds like a great idea. My son enjoys all sensory plays while I dread cleaning the mess afterwards, but thats part of being a toddler mom. Will try this one soon!

The black beans are great because they’re big enough to be fun but not small enough that he tries to eat them! I feel you on the clean up, the inevitable part of mom life that never gets easier lol
